RADIANT FINISHES PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY ON WEB SERIES ABOUT URBAN DESIGN

08.19.2011

Radiant just finished principal photography on their web series about the design of Camana Bay. Radiant Features first traveled to Philadelphia, PA to visit Dennis McGlade of the Olin Studio. We were blessed by fantastic weather as McGlade took us on a tour of his rooftop garden to talk about the impact landscape design has on the urban environment. We then visited his office, Olin Studio, where he spoke about shaping the natural environment to create public spaces.

We then travelled up to Rockport Maine, where awning and shade device master craftsman Charles Duvall took us on a sail in Penobscot Bay. While enjoying his sunset cruise, Duvall described how is work with shading devices continues to be inspired by his love of sailing. We then visited Duvall Designs to see how he designs expertly tailored shading devices to create shady outdoor gathering places on the Cayman Islands. Overall, it was a fantastic trip and we can’t wait to edit together the finished product.

Many thanks to Dennis, Charles, our host Sandy Urquhart, and DP Andrew Watson for making the journey with us.
